3 Ways to Get Smileys on iPod Touch/iPhone

STEPS
METHOD 1 OF 3: IOS 5.0 AND ABOVE

TAP THE SETTINGS APP. It should be gray and look like gears. Swipe to the right to search for it.

TAP GENERAL.

TAP KEYBOARD.

TAP INTERNATIONAL KEYBOARDS.

TAP ADD NEW KEYBOARD. Search for Emoji in the list of languages that appears.

TO ACCESS EMOJI, GO TO AN APP WHERE YOU WILL USE A KEYBOARD, SUCH AS MESSAGES. Tap and hold the globe icon until a list of keyboards comes up. Tap Emoji, and enjoy your new smileys!
METHOD 2 OF 3: BEFORE IOS 5.0

DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION "EMOJI FREE" FROM THE ITUNES STORE. It's free, but you will need an iTunes store account or if you have an account.

OPEN THE APP, AND WAIT FOR THE SUCCESS! screen.

CLOSE OUT THE APP.

RESTART THE DEVICE.

GO TO SETTINGS --> GENERAL -->INTERNATIONAL-->KEYBOARDS--> SWITCH "EMOJI" ON. You may delete the app if you want now.

PRESS THE \'WIRED\' GLOBE BUTTON TO SHIFT TO THE LANGUAGES SCREEN & YOU\'LL SEE SMILEYS & SYMBOLS.

TO GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL KEYBOARD, PRESS THE SAME GLOBE BUTTON.
METHOD 3 OF 3

DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION "SPELL NUMBER" FROM THE ITUNES STORE. It's free, but you will need an iTunes store account. Sync it to your iPod Touch or iPhone.

OPEN THE APP, TOUCH THE WHITE BOX AND TYPE THIS IN: 919

THERE IS NO "SUBMIT" BUTTON TO PRESS. As soon as you are done typing in the number, exit the app by pressing the home button.

CLOSE OUT THE APP

GO TO YOUR IPHONE/IPOD TOUCH\'S SETTINGS AND TOUCH THESE BUTTONS IN ORDER: General, International, Keyboards, Japanese, and switch "Emoji" on. You may delete the app if you want now.

IF YOU HAVE EVER USED A LANGUAGES KEYBOARD, IT IS JUST ANOTHER KEYBOARD. If not, press the 'wired' globe button to shift to the languages screen & you'll see smileys & symbols.
