How to Turn a Normal Home Phone Into an iPhone/iPod/iPad Headset

Did you ever lose your headset for your iPod and cant call Skype, or just scared about the radio radiation from putting the phone to close to your head? or just how awkward calling with your iPad? Well there is a way by making your own feel like the traditional phone.
STEPS

CUT THE TIP OF THE PHONE WIRE AND EXPOSE THE 4 COLORED WIRES.
black and green are the ground wires.
yellow is speaker.
Red is microphone

OPEN THE 3.5 stereo jack

CONNECT THE WIRES TO THE RESPECTED HOLE (BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE WIRE MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE JACK COVER ON THE WIRE BEFORE)
CONNECT THE WIRES TO THE RESPECTED HOLE
SOLDER THE WIRES.

CUT THE EXCESSIVE WIRES, TIGHTEN THE METAL GRIP IN THE END OF THE METAL PORTION OF THE JACK AND COVER THE JACK WITH THE COVER AND TWIST!

THINGS YOU\'LL NEED
iPhone/iPod/iPad.



A traditional phone (make sure it's simple; no buttons or keys on it).
Telephone headset to telephone set wire (4 wires ( green, black, yellow, red).
soldering tools (solder material and solder flux).

.5 mm stereo jack (make sure its a stereo and not mono)
TIPS
Use a glue gun to keep the wires in the jack in place before the jack cover is twisted on.






Get some heat shrink wire and a heat gun to improve retention of the jack in place.
WARNINGS
The solder gun, heat gun and tools to cut the wire are sharp, hot and dangerous , please only capable and mature people can try to do this.
