How to Take Pictures on a Locked iPhone or iPod Touch

Ever wondered if there was a way to take pictures on a iPhone or IPod Touch while it's locked? There is! You don't even have to enter your passcode. Here's how!
STEPS

TURN ON YOUR IPHONE OR IPOD TOUCH SCREEN. Press the home button or power button to do so.

GO TO THE START SCREEN AND SLIDE THE CAMERA ICON UP.
If you try to unlock by using "Slide to Unlock", you will just get prompted to type the password.

TAKE YOUR PHOTOS. You'll be taken to the Camera app, where you can take pictures and videos as usual, using the camera shutter button.

WAIT TO VIEW YOUR OTHER PHOTOS. Because the phone is locked with a passcode, you cannot view the other photos on your device until you enter the passcode from the main screen.
You are able to see the pictures that you take in that current session, though.

WARNINGS
If you type the passcode wrong too many times it may block you from typing the password for 5 minutes. Getting it wrong again after that will extend the block time.
You cannot send or upload the images while the phone is locked. The "share" function remains disabled until you unlock the phone.
