How to Remove Icons from the Android Home Screen (with Pictures)

Your Android home screens can get clogged up with widgets and icons quickly. It's a good idea to remove some of them that you don't need anymore.
STEPS

VISIT THE SCREEN THAT HAS THE ICON YOU WANT TO REMOVE.

CLICK AND HOLD THE APP YOU WANT TO REMOVE. For example, you might want to remove the "Iris" icon. The icon will lift off the screen.

MOVE THE ICON UP TO WHERE IT SAYS "REMOVE" AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN.

CHECK THE SCREEN AFTERWARD TO MAKE SURE THE ICON WAS PROPERLY REMOVED.

TIPS
You can add the icon you deleted again at any time from the apps screen.
WARNINGS
Don't pick your finger off the screen until it's directly over "remove" or you'll accidentally drop the icon in the wrong place.
