How to Find Stars in Space With Android (with Pictures)

For those not initiated in astronomy, identifying stars can be difficult. Google Sky map is a handy way to figure out exactly what you're looking at when you look up into the night sky.
STEPS
1
CLICK THE "SEARCH" TOOL IN THE TOP RIGHT OF THE PLAY STORE APP.

2
TYPE IN "SKY MAP". Select the icon with the spyglass and star.

3
CLICK "INSTALL." Then, click "Open" to open Sky Map on your phone.

4
ANGLE YOUR PHONE UP SO THAT IT\'S RIGHT UNDER THE STAR YOU\'RE TRYING TO IDENTIFY. You'll see a list of stars and constellations on the Sky Map app. Once you've got it lined up properly, you should see the label for the star you're looking at in Sky Maps.

TIPS
It's a good idea to confirm what Sky Map is telling you on Google just to be sure.
WARNINGS
This obviously isn't an exact science,s o you may have to adjust a bit left, right, up and down to find the astronomical body you're looking at.
